We are recruiting on behalf of our client – a leading international consulting and business services organization – for the position of Payroll Team Manager. This is a people-focused managerial role, responsible for leading and developing a team, driving performance, and managing relationships with demanding clients in a dynamic, international environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a People Manager (mandatory)

  • Experience managing distributed teams of 10+ members

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage demanding client situations

  • Experience in a dynamic, international work environment

  • Strong leadership skills, including team motivation, decision-making, and driving results

  • Fluent in English and Polish (work primarily in English)

  • Experience in payroll, HR, outsourcing and operational management

  • Knowledge of HR or payroll data and processes

  • Experience in corporate or shared services environments 

  • Familiarity with ERP or payroll systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead, engage, and develop a team of 11+ professionals in a hybrid and remote setting

  • Organize and prioritize team work, monitor productivity, capacity, and adherence to schedules

  • Support performance management and people development initiatives

  • Ensure operational processes are executed efficiently and according to agreed standards

  • Monitor KPIs, SLA compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Communicate effectively with clients and support the team in managing expectations

  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective action plans

  • Work collaboratively with international teams and stakeholders

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
