Role Summary/Purpose :
To provide professional & proactive HR & benefits support to the GE businesses as part of the Employee Services HR team in Poland.

Essential Responsibilities :
HR Partnership (5%)
• Develop a strong working relationship with the GE HR community through proactive facilitation & improvement of HR processes, ensuring effective communication and early identification of requirements & any service issues
• Proactively telephone customers to ensure timely resolution of transactions
• Deliver on commitments, manage expectations & keep customers informed on progress – taking clear accountability and ownership throughout the process

Refinement of Assigned Process & Provision of Process Expertise for the Centre (10%)
• Drive HR expertise for assigned process within existing team of administrators (both local and offshore) through knowledge sharing and training
• Proactively seek customer feedback to identify areas for process improvement, standardisation and productivity within assigned process
• Advise on complex questions/requests from the HR community concerning the area of expertise in a professional, courteous & timely manner
• Build and share knowledge of area of expertise by continuously keeping up to date with internal and external updates and changes

Oversight of Service Delivery for Assigned Process (10%)
• Ensure that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained with appropriate controls in place, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and GE policy requirements


HR Administration (75%)
• Deal with all customer enquiries in a professional, courteous & timely manner
• Consistently follow defined HR processes, challenging steps that may not make sense / add value
• Maintain employee documentation (personnel files/ labor contracts, additional agreements) in accordance with local labor legislation & Data Privacy regulations
• Provide and maintain documentation of employment termination/job change, promotion/change in working time/maternity leave
• On-boarding of new employees to GE by creating offer letters, employment contracts and new starter packs
• Processing of employee salary increases, bonuses, awards, allowances & deductions
• Maintaining HR Oracle database, ensuring highest standards of completeness, accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation
• Manage HR document circulation in an appropriate and controlled manner
• Coordination of employee benefits, including company cars & GE share plan
• Provide OHR reporting support
• Issuing Employer statements, employee certificates, references
• Ensures enquiries are followed-up and logged in ticketing system
• Able to train and support EEs/LMs/HRMs on self-service use
• Creation/maintenance of internal documentation on HR processes
• Support other team members in their activities around HR Operations, Benefits & Company Cars Administration, HR projects
• Be aware of and act having all legal & process requirements and clients/partners expectations in mind
• Provide support in one of the process areas (onboarding, benefits, company cars, legal entity lifecycle support)

Qualifications/Requirements :
Essential
• Polish labour law knowledge
• Experience of a HR or Operations process ownership role in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
• Process mind-set, understanding of core HR operational processes
• Decisiveness, self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience of driving strong performance from third-party suppliers & remote teams
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks & work to deadlines
• Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
• Experience of analysing and improving operational processes in a matrix organisation
• Proven ability to work professionally & proactively with a remote client base
• Fluency in local language (Polish) and English, with polite, professional communication skills
• Stakeholder management skills – ability to maintain contact with key partners & clients 
• Seeing big picture – think along processes and understanding requirements for the team not just individually
• Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, fluent computer usage
• Confidentiality & controllership mindset

Desired Characteristics :
• HR Shared Service experience
• Experience of administrating staffing, employee benefits, on-boarding or off-boarding processes
• Knowledge of Oracle HR data entry
• Knowledge of skype for business, workday, hire systems
• Experience in HR Operations within few different areas (different processes / clients)   
• Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
