We’re looking for a Head of People & Culture to design and lead the next evolution of GOG’s People & Culture systems - helping us stay bold, human, and outcome-driven as we scale. This role is about turning strategy into the tools and rituals that help teams hire better, grow faster, and lead with clarity - without losing the trust and kindness that made GOG what it is today. You’ll work at the intersection of psychological safety and high standards - building systems that support experimentation, ownership, and fast-paced feedback loops.
Your mission: design the systems and culture that assure high performance and make it sustainable.
Your role:
Strategic People System Design
Own and evolve the People & Culture roadmap in sync with company strategy
Translate strategic shifts into clear People initiatives and priorities
Maintain and evolve a coherent People architecture covering the full employee lifecycle
Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Team to provide input on org design challenges
Performance, Growth & Development
Design and maintain a performance system focused on observable behaviors, business outcomes, and self-driven development
Embed Self-Determination Theory principles into leadership and career growth rituals
Support codification and adoption of leadership standards at every level
Build internal calibration mechanisms to support leadership maturity, growth feedback, and succession visibility
Hiring & Talent Operations
Own and evolve the hiring process end-to-end, ensuring quality of decision-making and strategic alignment
Partner with business leaders to define recruiting priorities that reflect company bets and long-term leverage
Lead implementation of structured, bias-resistant hiring practices grounded in decision quality and accountability
Continuously review onboarding effectiveness and time-to-impact
Cultural Evolution & Operating Models
Codify and operationalize the culture shift from Clan/Hierarchy toward Adhocracy/Market without losing safety or cohesion
Support the transformation of team managers into product-thinking leaders and systems shapers
Build systems for high-quality feedback, recognition, and conflict that reinforce the desired culture
Support managers in translating company values into team practice
Who you will be working with:
Senior Leadership - as a strategic partner translating company direction into People & Culture systems
Team Managers - enabling them to grow into outcome owners and cultural multipliers
Employees & cross-functional talent - as a trusted builder of systems that serve clarity, fairness, and ambition
People Team - leading a high-trust group including:
People Partners - transitioning toward strategic enablement and manager development
Office - reinforcing cultural tone and employee experience
Payroll & People Ops - ensuring compliance, contract integrity, and foundational HR delivery
What we’re looking for:
Experience
Proven track record leading cultural and organizational transformation in product-driven or mission-led companies
At least 10 years of experience in People or HR roles, including 5 years in senior leadership positions within a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
Experience implementing strategic hiring systems, performance architecture, and feedback loops adjusted to the scale of the org.
Exposure to hybrid or decentralized operating models.
Capabilities
Strong strategic acumen paired with disciplined execution and system design
Fluency in organizational psychology, performance science, and behavior design
Comfortable working with metrics, KPIs, and financial alignment (e.g., salary planning, headcount ROI)
High-impact communicator able to challenge with care and clarity
Track record of building high-trust, high-functioning People teams
Fluent English
